As believers, we stand at a threshold of immense spiritual significance. We are called to live in a state of constant gratitude, recognizing that our position in Christ is not by our own merit, but by a divine invitation.
Be Grateful and Rejoice
We must offer continual thanks because we were called by God the Father to Jesus Christ, through the Authority of the Holy Spirit. While we rejoice and celebrate our salvation, we do so with a sober understanding of the times. As the "Time of Jacob’s Trouble" nears, the demonic world will also be active, knowing their master is attempting to take control. Yet, our focus remains on the One who chose us.
"But we should always thank God for you, brothers who are loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to be saved by the sanctification of the Spirit and by faith in truth. To this He called you through our gospel, so that you may share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ." — 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 (BSB)
The Wedding Feast: The Marriage Supper of the Lamb
The "Gathering Away"—often referred to as the Rapture—will happen in the twinkling of an eye. In that moment, the Bride of Christ (the Church) will meet the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ, to begin the ultimate celebration: the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come and His wife hath made herself ready." — Revelation 19:7 (KJB)
This is the moment our faith becomes sight. We will be clothed in the garments of salvation, standing before our King in a robe of righteousness.
"I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness..." — Isaiah 61:10 (BSB)
The Time of Jacob’s Trouble
While the Bride celebrates in glory, the earth enters its darkest chapter. This marks the beginning of the seven-year period known as the Tribulation. It is divided into two 42-month segments, culminating in the "Great Tribulation."
This is a period of unprecedented distress, described by the prophet Jeremiah as a time so intense it defies natural description. However, there is a promise of deliverance for the remnant of Israel.
"How awful that day will be! None will be like it! It is the time of Jacob's distress, but he will be saved out of it." — Jeremiah 30:7 (BSB)
The Second Advent: The Real New World Order
The climax of human history is not found in earthly politics, but in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This is the Second Advent, where Christ returns not as a suffering servant, but as the conquering King.
He will establish the true "New World Order," ruling the earth during His Millennial Kingdom from the New Jerusalem. He is the ruler of the kings of the earth, and His reign will be characterized by absolute glory and power.
"To Him who loves us and has released us from our sins by His blood, who has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and power forever and ever! Amen." — Revelation 1:5-6 (BSB)
Are you ready for the Bridegroom's return? Let us live today in the light of His coming glory.
