The ruin of nations is precisely how the destroyer is carrying out prophecy in the modern world, and while most people can see, they remain unaware of the truth that the darkness of one world order is being exposed in real time before our very eyes. 
Right after the resurrected Christ many remained skeptical of the risen Christ; they lost all faith in the Son of Man being God in the flesh, so they started heading back to their native lands to continue their lives.
 
While preaching the resurrected Christ, the youngest church deacon, Stephen, was stoned to death. The death penalty assassination was led by the overzealous Pharisee, Saul of Tarsus, who used both lawfare and violence to silence the truth of Stephen proclaiming the resurrected Christ as the Messiah.
 
In the book of John, in the absence of Thomas, Jesus reveals Himself two times to the disciples. During that time after several attemps by the disciples to inform Thomas of the resurrected Christ, Thomas clealy stated to the disciples, he would not believe until he could physically see, feel and touch the resurrected body of Jesus for himself. 
 
With Jesus knowing all things being God, He called out to Thomas during His third appearance to the disciples, Jesus said to Thomas "Come hither; see feel and touch," which Thomas did. In repentance Thomas Kneels saying, " My Lord and my God." Jesus' response to Thomas; Stop doubting and just believe
 
It is Written: Then saith he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believe: blessed are they who have not seen, and yet haved believed. John 20: 27-30 KJB
 
Thomas, also known as the twin, or Didymus, meaning twin in Greek, represents the double-minded folks, as Thomas first denied the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Ironically Thomas was the eighth of the twelve disciples chosen by Jesus at the start of His three year earthly ministry. With eight being the number of new beginnings.
